What Is the Process Like?
I've designed a straightforward, collaborative process that keeps you informed every step of the way. Here's exactly how it works:
Step 1: Request Your Quote
Fill out my quote form on the website. This gives me essential information about your website needs and allows me to start working up a customized quote for you.
Step 2: Review Your Quote
Based on your responses, I'll provide you with a personalized quote for your website design. If you're happy with the quote, we can move forward with the project.
Step 3: Sign Agreement & Pay Deposit
Getting started is simple: you'll sign my one-page design agreement and pay a 50% deposit to secure your spot on my schedule.
Step 4: Share Your Project Materials
I'll send you a checklist of everything I need: things like images, text, logos, branding assets, and any specific details that'll help me nail your vision. The more prepared you are with these materials, the faster we can move.
Step 5: Grant Design Access
You'll add me as a collaborator on your Wix site. This means I can work on your website without needing your login credentials, your account stays completely secure.
Step 6: Receive Your Timeline & Design Begins
Once I have your deposit and content, I'll send you your estimated start date and projected completion window. Then I'll begin drafting your design concept.
Step 7: Approve the Design Concept
I'll present a design concept for your review and approval before moving forward with the full build. This ensures we're aligned on direction from the start.
Step 8: Design Development
Once you're happy with the design plan, I'll move forward with bringing your vision to life, building out pages, integrating features, and refining every detail.
Step 9: Review & Revisions
When the initial design and setup is complete, I'll contact you for your review. We'll work through any final adjustments during the revisions phase (up to 30 minutes included in your package).
Step 10: Final Payment & Launch
Once everything is perfect and you're thrilled with your new site, you'll pay the remaining 50% balance. At this point, you can choose whether I stay on as a collaborator for easy future updates, or I can remove myself and let you take over completely, it's entirely up to you.
Ongoing Communication
Throughout the entire process, I'll keep you updated with regular status reports so you always know where things stand. You're never left wondering what's happening with your project.
The result? A smooth, collaborative experience that delivers a website you'll be proud to share with the world.
What Do I Need to Have Ready Before We Start?
You don't need to have everything figured out right away!
Once we're ready to begin, I'll send you a simple checklist of materials I'll need to create your website. This typically includes things like:
• Images (photos of your products, team, workspace, etc.)
• Text content (descriptions of your services, about page info, contact details)
• Branding assets (logo, color preferences, fonts if you have them)
• Any specific details that'll help me nail your vision
The checklist makes it easy to know exactly what to gather, and I'm here to help if you're missing anything. As mentioned in the FAQ, if you don't have professional photos or need help with copywriting, there are solutions available.
The more prepared you are with these materials, the faster we can complete your project, but we'll work together to make sure you have everything you need.
What If I Don't Have Text or Photos for My Website?
No problem, there are several solutions available!
Photos & Images:
Wix has a large collection of free, high-quality images and videos that you can use directly on your site. These are fully licensed for Wix websites, so there are no copyright concerns. I can search the Wix database to find professional photos and visuals that fit your brand and industry perfectly.
Text & Copywriting:
If you need help writing compelling content for your site, I can provide copywriting services for an additional fee. Once I understand all the details about your business and website needs, I can provide a quote for your content needs.
Best Results:
While stock images and professional copywriting can work great, the most authentic websites often include:
• Your own photos (even smartphone photos can work if they're clear and well-lit)
• Your own voice and messaging (you know your business best!)
But if you don't have these ready or prefer professional help, I've got you covered.
Bottom line: You don't need to have everything prepared before we start. We can work together to find solutions that fit your timeline and budget.
How Long Will My Website Design Take?
Timeline depends on the size and complexity of your project, but here are typical turnaround times:
Small/Basic Site: ~10 Days
A straightforward 1-3 page site with basic features can usually be completed in about 10 days from the time we finalize your content and branding materials.
Medium Site: ~21 Days
A standard small business website with 4-8 pages and moderate features typically takes around 21 days to design, refine, and launch.
Large/Premium Site: 45+ Days
More complex websites with 8+ pages and advanced functionality (like e-commerce, booking systems, or membership areas) require additional time for proper setup and testing, usually 45 days or more.
What Affects the Timeline?
The biggest factor in how quickly your site gets completed is how promptly you provide the materials I need, including:
• Your content (text, images, logos)
• Feedback on design drafts
• Access to any necessary accounts or resources
When clients are responsive and have their materials ready, we stay on track. If there are delays in getting content or feedback, the timeline naturally extends.
Rush Projects
If you have a specific deadline or need your site completed faster, let me know upfront. I may be able to accommodate rush timelines depending on my current workload.
I'll give you a more specific timeline estimate once I understand the full scope of your project during our initial consultation.
